White Sheets Day

AUGUST 14 · EVERYWHERE

The Story of the Sheets

Why we gather, and how you can join

THE VISION

A Signal Seen Around the World

A white sheet is ordinary — found in every home on earth. Lifted up, it becomes something more: a flag of surrender to God, a banner of purity, a plea for peace. On August 14, White Sheets Day calls people everywhere to hang a white sheet from their porch, window, fence, or flagpole and to gather in prayer — for their own hometown, and for the world events that weigh on every heart.

This year, our united cry is for the resolution of the war in Iran: for a just and lasting peace, for protection over every innocent life, for comfort for the grieving, and for hope to rise where fear has reigned. When millions of ordinary sheets rise on a single day, the world sees an extraordinary message — we are not divided, and we have not given up.

TAKE PART

How to Participate

01

Hang Your Sheet

On the morning of August 14, hang a plain white sheet where it can be seen — a porch rail, a window, a fence, a balcony. Let your street know a house of prayer stands here.

02

Gather & Pray

Alone or together — family, neighbors, your church — pray for your hometown by name, then for the nations: peace in Iran, wisdom for leaders, comfort for the suffering.

03

Share the Signal

Photograph your sheet and share it with the hashtag #WhiteSheetsDay. Invite three friends in other cities to do the same. One day, one voice — everywhere.

THIS YEAR'S FOCUS

Praying for Iran

War touches everyone it nears — soldiers and civilians, mothers and children, believers and neighbors of every faith. We are asking the whole movement to intercede in one accord:

Peace

That the conflict would find a swift, just resolution, and that peace would take root deeper than any ceasefire.

Protection

Shelter over every innocent life — families, children, the elderly, and all caught in harm’s way.

Comfort

Nearness for the grieving and displaced, and provision for those who have lost home and livelihood.

Hope

That light would shine in the darkest places, and a generation would find a future worth building in peace.
